macOS Troubleshooting
"Finch" cannot be opened because Apple cannot verify it
Install Finch into /Applications, then clear quarantine:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Finch.app Hotkey works, but text is not inserted
Re-open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility, remove Finch if it is already listed, then add the current /Applications/Finch.app again. Rebuilt or updated copies can require a fresh trust entry.
Still blocked?
Make sure you are launching the installed copy from /Applications, not a copy inside the mounted DMG or Downloads folder.
